CFA's Client Takes Starring Role on Channel 4

CFA's client Lime Technology is featuring on a two-part Channel 4 series starting tonight.

The innovative construction material Tradical® Hemcrete® is taking an integral part of Kevin McCloud's sustainable housing project at The Triangle in Swindon. Kevin's Grand Design, follows his journey to prove that it is possible to create beautiful, contemporary and sustainable homes that are also affordable. CFA's client Lime Technology is featuring on a two-part Channel 4 series starting tonight.

It is the first scheme by Hab Oakus, the joint venture between TV presenter and author Kevin McCloud's development company, Hab, and housing group GreenSquare.

The scheme, designed by Glenn Howells Architects and landscape architects Studio Engleback, will be built by Willmott Dixon Housing. Environmental engineers Max Fordham, engineers Curtins and cost consultants DBK complete the planning team.

Kevin McCloud Said: "Tradical® Hemcrete® offers us an opportunity to build with a material that locks up carbon as it grows.  Hemp is the second fastest growing crop on the planet, after bamboo, so it can be slotted in between other crops during a growing season.  It also requires almost no inputs and enriches the soil. Tradical® Hemcrete® is non-combustible, breathable, tough and flexible and has remained our first choice ever since we saw it being used."
